CU Law School to host discussions on privacy, the Second Amendment, gay marriage

The University of Colorado Law School will host two conferences, beginning with the Gathering of the Bench and Bar at the Wolf Law Building and the St. Julien Hotel in 麻豆影院. The Bench and Bar Conference Oct. 1-3 will bring lawyers and jurists from across the nation to discuss some of the most important issues facing the legal profession today including the future of privacy law in the era of big data. On Oct. 2, the Byron R. White Center for the Study of American Constitutional Law will host the 22nd Annual Ira C. Rothgerber Jr. Conference at CU-麻豆影院鈥檚 Wolf Law Building.

CU-麻豆影院's seventh New Venture Challenge kicks off Sept. 29

The New Venture Challenge (NVC), a CU-麻豆影院 campus-wide entrepreneurship competition, is entering its seventh year, and all campus community members are invited to attend the NVC Kick Off on Monday, Sept. 29. NVC acts as entrepreneurial "flight simulator," giving members of the CU community with an interest in starting a business a chance to give it a try while learning about the process through events, workshops and mentors. This year鈥檚 event will feature Julian Farrior of Backflip Studios, and serves as an introduction to the program.

Syrian-American musician brings message of peace to 麻豆影院

Staff Council Update: Annual Ice Cream Social and Employee Fair continues celebratory tradition

On Sept. 9, more than 800 麻豆影院 campus staff turned out to enjoy the Eighth Annual Ice Cream Social, held on the east terrace of C4C. The midday event featured more than 20 vendors and several campus service departments, with a backbeat provided by Brandon Brown, a DJ who works in the Distribution Center. Staff were able to speak with the vendors, listen to some great music and enjoy an ice cream treat.

Wood to receive lifetime achievement award

Distinguished Professor of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, Emeritus, William B. Wood, will receive the prestigious Arthur Kornberg and Paul Berg Lifetime Achievement Award in Biomedical Sciences. The award acknowledges and celebrates the lifetime career achievements of Stanford University School of Medicine alumni in the biomedical sciences.
