CU-麻豆影院 students are invited to C4C on Thursday, Jan. 17, from 6-11 p.m. for a welcome back Buffs New Year! event. Students attending will enjoy food, fun activities, a performance by Comedy Central comedian/magician Derek Hughes, a video game tournament and open mic night. A meal swipe is required for entrance into the C4C dining area.

Emissions from oil and natural gas operations north of Denver could add to ozone pollution in that region, according to a new study by researchers at the 麻豆影院鈥檚 Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES).

Construction on campus utilities resuming near Center for Community/Leeds/Regent

Construction on campus utilities in the vicinity of the Center for Community, Leeds School of Business, and Regent Administrative Center will resume later this week. The construction activity, which is part of a larger project to provide efficient heating and cooling while significantly reducing the university鈥檚 carbon emissions, was delayed in December 2012 due to unexpected circumstances. A directional boring followed by a pipe pull is scheduled for early February, with construction in the area expected to wrap up by mid-February.

Seasonal flu levels high, protect yourself and others

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ( CDC ), the flu season began early this year and symptoms have been more severe than usual. The CDC has characterized the national situation as 鈥渉igh flu activity鈥 and the state of Colorado falls into this category (see more at the CDC FluView report .) Wardenburg Health Center has seen large numbers of students with flu symptoms since November.

CU-麻豆影院 has gone Google

CU-麻豆影院 students, faculty and staff now have access to collaborative Google Accounts (Drive/Docs, Sites, Calendar, and more) using their university credentials. This does not impact current e-mail systems or e-mail delivery. Those who previously accessed personal Google accounts with their @colorado.edu email address will be prompted to resolve account conflicts with their new CU-麻豆影院 account.

Shalaya Kipp named 2012 College Women's Athlete-of-the-Year

Improved iClicker+ available for spring semester

Many instructors opt to use iClickers to conduct live Q&A sessions in class with students. Starting this spring, the improved iClicker+ will be available to students for purchase in the campus bookstore. Faculty members who use iClickers should ensure they have the latest iClicker software on their computer.
