CU Commute: Networking and trip tracking for off-campus students and staff

The University of Colorado community can now access commuter and carpool resources through CU Commute, a social networking website for University commuters. CU Commute is a platform that networks users by alternative modes of transportation and provides commuter carpooling options. Created through a partnership between CU鈥檚 Parking & Transportation Services and the Environmental Center, CU Commute offers resources and incentives for students, faculty and staff who are interested in sustainable transportation.

CU-麻豆影院 to issue new request for proposals to relocate Grandview Terrace bungalows

The 麻豆影院 is issuing a new request for proposals to relocate three bungalows from the Grandview Terrace area. 鈥淒uring the earlier request for proposal process conducted over the past summer and fall we did not receive any proposals that met the qualifications, however, if it鈥檚 feasible we would like to see the houses relocated and preserved,鈥 said CU-麻豆影院 Director of Real Estate Jeff Lipton. 鈥淚n talking with the city staff we thought it would be worth issuing the request for proposals one more time.鈥

Class project leads to holiday benefit concert for the homeless

One student鈥檚 class project has led him to see homeless people in a new light. The result of his experience is a holiday concert to benefit the homeless. Like many people, Joe Cherof, a freshman majoring in business, had walked by homeless musicians playing on 麻豆影院鈥檚 Pearl Street Mall. Cherof would sometimes toss a couple of dollars into their hat. That all changed the day Cherof noticed a familiar face playing music on the mall.

Student printing and scanning improvements coming spring 2013

We鈥檝e all been there 鈥 struggling to download the right printer driver or running across campus, wondering, 鈥渨hy did I choose a printer so far away?鈥 Starting next semester, it will be easier for students to print to the many student printers and multi-function devices available in computer labs and common areas across campus.
