Ben and Jerry's founders to speak at CU-麻豆影院 Oct. 21

Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, best known for their ice cream creations, will speak at CU-麻豆影院 on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom. Tickets will be available at the door and are free for CU-麻豆影院 students, faculty and staff with a valid Buff OneCard, and $5 for other members of the public. The event, which will include a frozen treat, is sponsored by CU-麻豆影院's Cultural Events Board.

The mystery of why health outcomes deteriorate the longer Hispanic immigrants are in the U.S. cannot be blamed on America鈥檚 fast food culture alone. A new study, published in a recent issue of the International Migration Review, finds that increased mortality rates for both foreign- and U.S.-born Hispanics cannot solely be blamed on 鈥渁cculturation,鈥 or the adoption of the host society鈥檚 mainstream values, attitudes, sentiments, behaviors and practices.
