Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, best known for their ice cream creations, will speak at CU-麻豆影院 on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom. Tickets will be available at the door and are free for CU-麻豆影院 students, faculty and staff with a valid Buff OneCard, and $5 for other members of the public. The event, which will include a frozen treat, is sponsored by CU-麻豆影院's Cultural Events Board.

Cohen and Greenfield are widely recognized for creating a financially successful company (Ben and Jerry's) that was built on a foundation of social responsibility. What started as an ice cream parlor in 1977, developed into an internationally known brand and company that is recognized as a leader in sustainable dairy farming, alternate energy use, waste reduction and recycling.

The mission of the Cultural Events Board is to provide opportunities and events which help students enrich their educational experience and expand their understanding of culture, diversity and social awareness. .
