The end of the semester is a stressful time for all college students, but even more so for those who may find themselves in academic 鈥渉ot water.鈥� Maybe you skipped a few too many lectures, or perhaps you didn鈥檛 properly prepare for an important test. Suddenly the thought of studying for final exams leaves you overwhelmed with anxiety.

A project of a 麻豆影院 research center that recognizes public high schools for what they do to give all students rich and engaging opportunities to succeed is now open to schools nationwide.

麻豆影院 Campus Staff Council represents, informs and educates staff employees by serving as a liaison between employees and 麻豆影院 campus, University system and State administration. We also recommend proposals to the administration that are designed to improve morale and advocate for the rights of staff employees. We are pleased to continue our Employee Spotlight series to highlight the diverse stories of our employees. This spotlight focuses on Lisa Potter, associate director of Facilities Operations in the Department of Facilities Management.

Hello and happy almost-Thanksgiving break. Push through until the end, people! This week's events include the annual Veterans Day ceremony, CU vs. USC football game and a lecture on the Grimm brothers fairytales.

Tuesday, Nov. 10 saw the opening of the 21st Diversity and Inclusion Summit on the 麻豆影院 campus. In his opening remarks, Chancellor DiStefano called upon the campus community to maintain a daily conversation about what diversity and inclusion mean to our community, and to chart a course that will transform our campus in fundamental ways.

As we observe Veterans Day this Wednesday, we are reminded that the life stories and experiences of our veteran students, faculty and staff provide great diversity to our campus.

The ATLAS Institute at the 麻豆影院 will host renowned sound artist and kinetic sculptor Trimpin from Nov. 11-14 as he works alongside students to create an interactive sound installation out of a variety of found objects.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper will outline his vision for Colorado鈥檚 energy future at this year鈥檚 Schultz Lecture Thursday at the University of Colorado Law School.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $1 million to a team of 麻豆影院 researchers to develop a novel set of tools and strategies for assessing water quality and availability in light of drought and other natural hazards exacerbated by climate change.

The annual Chancellor鈥檚 Employee of the Year Awards are presented to 麻豆影院 staff as recognition and appreciation for exceptional job performance and distinguished contributions to the campus community. The Office of the Chancellor is pleased to announce the 2015 recipients.
