At the 麻豆影院, we want our unique qualities, individual experiences and identities to be key strengths of our university. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the campus will host our 21st Annual Diversity and Inclusion Summit at the University Memorial Center. The summit is for all faculty, students, staff and offers more than 40 educational and inspirational workshops, presentations, and activities to promote inclusive excellence. Accordingly, I urge you and your colleagues to attend several of this year鈥檚 sessions. The sessions are, in a literal sense, professional development and training for all CU-麻豆影院 employees.

The last of the bright celestial events for the calendar year will peak tonight through Nov. 12. It鈥檚 the Taurid Meteor Shower and while you won鈥檛 see a lot of meteors鈥 up to 20 per hour under ideal dark-sky conditions鈥 what you might see is a really bright fireball, the kind that can light up the night sky in an instant, according to Matt Benjamin, a planetary scientist and education program manager at CU-麻豆影院鈥檚 Fiske Planetarium.
