Mechanical Engineering Enrollment Services
Separate from Mechanical Engineering undergraduate advising services, we also have support for enrollment in MCEN-prefix courses.
Common Issues for CU Â鶹ӰԺ ME Majors:
- Review the location of the MCEN course you are trying to enroll in.
- Any 400- or 500- sections are located at our partnership programs in Gunnison or Grand Junction, CO. Make sure you are trying to enroll into classes offered specifically on our Main Campus.
- Review that you have all necessary components of a class when you try to enroll. Some MCEN classes have required labs associated.
- If you don’t have a lab section in your shopping cart when you enroll in these classes, you will receive an error message.
- Similarly, if you’re on the waitlist for a lab, that means you are on the waitlist for the lecture. You need a seat in both the lecture and lab to be fully enrolled in the class.
- Review your shopping cart for time conflicts for any lecture, recitations, or labs that you're trying to add. To request a time conflict exception:
- You will need to obtain written approval from the instructor of both courses.
- Once you've obtained approval, forward these toÌýenrollME@colorado.eduÌýfor further enrollment assistance.
- Please fill out this , if any of these match your current enrollment situation:
- Any of your requisites were completed by an approved course substitution.
- Any of your prerequisite coursework was completed through transfer credit and approved via departmental petition.
- You had a requisite exception approved via departmental petition.
- You are currently enrolled in a requisite at another institution.
- For additional troubleshooting needs for MCEN course enrollment, please connect with ME Enrollment Services at enrollME@colorado.edu.
MCEN Course Enrollment Request Option for Any Student Who Is Not a CU Â鶹ӰԺ ME Major:
- Please complete the online MCEN Course Request Form to be considered for MCEN course enrollment.
