Typhoon 5
Please acknowledge SIP (RRID: SCR_018986) and the NIH funding (1S10OD034218-01) in publications and presentations ( posters, talks) if you use the Typhoon 5.
The Typhoon 5 is a multi-mode, high-resolution, high-sensitivity imaging platform that produces digital images of radioactive, fluorescent, or chemiluminescent samples. It has blue (488 nm), green (532 nm), red (635 nm), near IR (685nm) and far IR (785nm) excitation wavelengths and a wide choice of emission filters (IP, P 390BP, Cy2 525BP20, Cy3 570BP20, Cy5 670BP30, IRshort 720BP20, IRlong 825BP30, Cy2 LPB515, Cy3 LPG550, Cy5 LPR660) enable imaging of an extensive variety of fluorophores. Automated multi-colour fluorescence scanning allows multiplexing of multiple targets in the same sample. It can be used to scan phospho storage screens, gel sandwiches, agarose and polyacrylamide gels, membranes, microplates and even microarrays.
IQ 800
Please acknowledge SIP (RRID: SCR_018986) and the NIH funding (R35GM136392-04S1) in publications and presentations (posters, talks) if you use the IQ 800 imager.
Th ImageQuantâ„¢ 800 imager from Cytiva/Fujifilm features a sensitive 8.3-megapixel high-resolution Peltier-cooled CCD detector with an F 0.74 lens, providing high-resolution imaging of very close bands. The IQ 800 is versatile, supporting chemiluminescence, fluorescence, and colourimetric imaging for various samples, including gels, membrane blots, multiwell plates, and petri dishes. Its improved optics, combined with the new SNOWâ„¢ (signal-to-noise optimization watch) detection mode, enhance both sensitivity and image quality.
Light sources are Epi-blue: 460 nm, Epi-green: 535 nm, Epi-red: 635 nm, Epi-IR short: 660 nm, Epi-IR long: 775 nm, Epi-UV: 365 nm, Epi-white: 470 to 656 nm and Trans-white. Filters available are Cy2: 525BP20, Cy3 (UV): 605BP40, Cy5: 705BP40, IR short: 715BP30, IR long: 836BP46.
