CU athletes work smarter to build athletic success

Colorado Mesa University-CU-Â鶹ӰԺ partnership program receives accreditation

The Â鶹ӰԺ and Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction today announced the successful accreditation of their partnership program by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. The partnership program allows students to earn a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from CU-Â鶹ӰԺ by taking classes delivered at CMU. The program offers the first-ever baccalaureate engineering degree on Colorado’s Western Slope.

A new high-tech analysis led by a Â鶹ӰԺ researcher shows the oldest known petroglyphs in North America, which are cut into several boulders in western Nevada, date to at least 10,500 years ago and perhaps even as far back as 14,800 years ago.

Mark Udall will discuss President Obama’s Climate Action Plan at the University of Colorado Law School on Wednesday, Aug. 14. The event also will include a panel discussion with former Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter, Colorado Oil and Gas Association President Tisha Schuller and Brad Udall, director of the law school’s Getches-Wilkinson Center for Natural Resources, Energy and the Environment.

The haiku were part of a contest, sponsored by the Â鶹ӰԺ, asking the public to submit haiku poetry relating to NASA’s upcoming MAVEN mission to Mars.
