In recent months a debate about wages has begun across the United States. At CU-麻豆影院, questions have been appropriately raised about our pay structures and the cost of living in our communities. We used these questions as an opportunity to carefully review our pay practices, the market value of work performed and an occasion to increase the total rewards of working at the University of Colorado.

We鈥檙e all guilty of saying 鈥測es鈥� to favors, friends and nights out even when we don鈥檛 have the time. But what about when it means losing sleep and stressing out? In this month鈥檚 issue of Student Health 101 online magazine we鈥檝e got eight new strategies for every situation鈥攚hether it鈥檚 telling a boss, parents or roommates that you can鈥檛 take on anything else this week.

On Jan. 21 we released the results of two student climate surveys 鈥� one for undergraduate students and one for graduate students. The two surveys were conducted at the end of 2014, and we are committed to addressing the key findings. Our goal is to ensure all students at CU-麻豆影院 experience a welcoming environment that maximizes their academic performance and prepares them for success after graduation. In the coming months, you should begin to see and hear more discussions about our campus culture and inclusive excellence. Every one of us needs to make a commitment to creating the type of place where everyone can thrive.

Even with a slowdown in new business filings in Colorado during the fourth quarter of 2015, employment in the state is expected to expand over the first and second quarters of 2016, according to a 麻豆影院 report released today by Colorado Secretary of State Wayne Williams.
