On Oct. 18, the BioFrontiers Institute will honor Julie Louise Gerberding, M.D., M.P.H., with the 2016 Charlie Butcher Award. Dr. Gerberding was the first woman to be appointed Director of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). She will give a free talk 鈥淔ighting microbial terrorists: From Anthrax to Zika鈥 at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18.

We made several changes in response the last survey, three years ago, and this year鈥檚 results showed big improvements. This year鈥檚 survey demonstrated some consistent themes about where we鈥檙e succeeding and where we need to improve.
