Multidisciplinary, Multi-organizational Community Building
Multidisciplinary, Multi-organizational Community Building
Our Institute values convergence and collaboration between strands. Our theme leads meet bi-weekly, which results in an increased shared awareness of major activities across the Institute. This helps our teams members to identify greater collaboration opportunities, reduce redundancies, and focus on our mission to build deep conceptual and socio-collaborative learning experiences for all students. Through internal community events and trainings, we raise awareness of the different facets of our research, drive greater participation in our programs, and develop stronger relationships and collaboration between our members. By nurturing and growing the next generation of talent, our undergraduate students better understand their roles at the Institute and feel more integrated.

Team members work through sensor immersion training to better understand the curriculum being implemented in classrooms.
We focus on cross-strand convergence to develop and refine our AI Partner metaphors and prototypes. These convergence events help our team develop stronger relationships and collaboration between members.
The Early Career Scholars (ECS) Forum helps our graduate students, postdocs, and research scientists who are early on in their career. These forums cover topics including but not limited to crafting effective presentations, designing comprehensive research protocols, engaging with leading researchers in the field, and more.
Trainings and workshops including curriculum workshops and data collection training, all drive greater participation in our programs and increase collaboration and awareness across strands.
