Knowledge Transfer

iSAT shares its mission and research goals with research communities through Publications and various external talks—including keynotes—as well as presentations, panel discussions, and conference presentations. We have produced numerous articles, conference proceedings, conference publications, presentations, posters, and hosted workshops. We have developed Participatory Design Methods, Strategic Partnerships, Community Outreach Plans and an External Advisory Board.

Eye-tracking iSAT Lab

iSAT Lab participants examine collaborative problem-solving using an eye-tracker. Data from this was used for the paper Beyond Joint Visual Attention: Identifying Gaze Dynamics that Underlie Successful Collaborations submitted to the 2023 Symposium on Eye Tracking Research and Applications

Academic Communities

Our team has contributed to an abundance of quality research papers since the Institute’s inception. In addition to published journal articles, Institute faculty disseminate research findings through academic presentations, keynote talks, and conference proceedings.

Communities of Practice

We focus on K–12 school and community members as the non-academic stakeholders, aiming to develop their capacity to envision, co-create, critique, and apply student-AI collaborative learning technologies for use in their schools and communities.

Knowledge Transfer to the General Public

We are reaching the general public by expanding our efforts on social media and through our quarterly newsletters  highlighting the iSAT team's recent progress. We are working on developing community events, where our researchers provide talks at schools and more.
