What It Is
CU Guest Access听is a read-only, online option for guests to view a student's record. Students establish a guest account for a parent or third party through the student portal and select which components of their record to share.
Guests have access to information in the student's Campus Solutions student center,听similar to what faculty and staff see in the Student Services Center component (admin view).听Guests cannot complete any transactions on behalf of the student, and CU Guest Access does not authorize the university to release or discuss nondirectory information about students to the guest.
Verifying CU Guest Access
As stated above,听CU Guest Access does not authorize the university to release or discuss non-directory information about students to the guest.
If a guest calls with questions and you can't verify听FERPA Consent to Release听for that person, don't release any information. Direct them to contact the听student.
