President Obama appointed聽Judith Kimble聽(PhDMCDBio鈥78) as a member of the President鈥檚 Committee on the National Medal of Science. She is a biochemistry professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an investigator with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. She discovered the first stem cell niche that controls stem cell maintenance. She has served on several boards and committees and has been president of the Academy of Sciences and the American Philosophical Society. Judith lives in Madison, Wis.

Priscilla has published many articles about mental health, parenting and exercise and resides in 麻豆影院.

G. Brown (Jour) launched his book series On Record. Each of the three volumes includes images, interviews and insights in music for the years 1978, 1984 and 1991. The series is published by Colorado Music Experience, a nonprofit focusing on Colorado music history, of which G. is director.

Last January, Phil Barber (Law) a 麻豆影院-based lawyer, was covered in the 麻豆影院 Weekly newspaper. Phil has been a lawyer for 40 years, representing communities focused on regulating oil and gas operations, including 麻豆影院, Longmont and Broomfield鈥檚 attempts to limit fracking. Phil also has been taking on pro bono immigration cases, helping immigrants avoid deportation.

Former Buffs聽football player聽and assistant coach聽Brian Cabral (Rec)聽retired last year, but that聽doesn鈥檛 mean he鈥檚 fin-ished with the program.聽New head coach Mel聽Tucker considers Brian聽a mentor and character聽coach to the players聽and staff. To underscore聽his lifetime of service聽to the football program,聽Brian was elected to the聽CU Athletic Hall of Fame聽last November.

Carolyn Stefanco (Hist), president of the College of Saint Rose聽in New York, won a Helen Gurley Brown Genius Grant, and Saint Rose was invited to join the BOLD Women鈥檚 Leadership Network by the Pussycat Foundation. The foundation provides a $100,000 grant to Saint Rose鈥檚 President鈥檚 Fund and $1 million to fund a program to benefit women student leaders at聽the college.

After graduating from CU, Linda Sasser (MPsych; PhD鈥81) taught at two Illinois institutions of higher learning. She was an adjunct psychology professor at Wheaton College and then a fulltime education professor at Judson University. In 2013 she began her business, Brain and Memory Health. She is a national speaker on brain health and memory, teaches continuing education workshops for healthcare professionals and has authored a curriculum titled BE! Brain Enrichment, which is used in retirement communities and senior centers. Linda and her husband, Carey, live in Bloomingdale, Ill.
