The Book of Mormon听musical written by听Matt Stone听(Art, Math鈥�93) and听Trey Parker听(A&S ex鈥�93), creators of the TV show听South Park, hit Denver by storm in August, selling out at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in less than five hours. The show won nine Tony awards, including best musical.

Design Concepts added听Carter Marshall听(Anth鈥�97, MArch鈥�09) to its team as a landscape designer and he is working on municipal park projects in Colorado, including the redesign of Wulf Park in Evergreen and a recreation area master plan for Nederland. He also is working on such school landscape projects as the historic Mapleton School in 麻豆影院. Previously, Carter worked for Belt Collins West in 麻豆影院 as a park planner for such federal agencies as the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service.

On March 31听John Sieg* (MechEngr鈥�97) and Elisha DeLong-Sieg welcomed their daughter Brooklyn Hope. They say her big sister Caitlyn is very excited and is already teaching Brooklyn the CU fight song. The family lives in Parker, Colo.

The Arapahoe Library District Board of Trustees appointed听Nicolle Ingui Davies听(Jour鈥�98, MPubAd鈥�03) as executive director. In this position she is responsible for formulating and administering an annual budget as well as developing and implementing policies that support the organization鈥檚 strategic plan. She lives in Littleton, Colo.

In January听Risa Kass听(EnvSt, EPOBio鈥�98) and her fianc茅 are expecting their first baby. Her law firm, Kass & Navins, is thriving with three locations with a concentration on divorce coaching. Risa lives in Nyack, N.Y.

On June 3听Jennifer Baker听(Comm鈥�99) married Benjamin Gene in Delray Beach, Fla. Jennifer is a Realtor and writes while she and her husband plan to stay in Florida they will always get their 鈥渟now fix鈥� in Colorado at a Buff game every year. She served on the CU-麻豆影院 Alumni Association board of directors several years ago and continues to promote Forever Buffs in Florida. Jennifer and her husband live in Boca Raton, Fla.

On May 4听Sonya Johnson听(Anth, Ethnic鈥�00) received her dual doctorate in socio-cultural anthropology and African American and African studies from Michigan State University. Her future plans include joining the faculty at a research university to continue her work on African-inspired religions in the Americas. She lives in East Lansing, Mich.

The Ringer听(The Permanent Press) published in March 2011 is 麻豆影院 resident听Jennifer Shank Chastang鈥檚 (MEngl鈥�00) first novel. The book is set in Colorado and was inspired in part by the 1999 shooting of Ismael Mena by the Denver police in a no-knock raid. Jennifer is a journalist and has written for the听Rocky Mountain News, the听Daily Camera, Colorado Daily听and听奥别蝉迟飞辞谤诲.听For six years she was the Denver/麻豆影院 editor of the Onion A.V. Violinist and patron of the arts听Kyle Heckman听(Econ, Fin鈥�01, MBA鈥�10) was elected president of the 麻豆影院 Philharmonic Orchestra board. Kyle is a 2005 graduate of the League of American Orchestras鈥� intensive 鈥淓ssentials of Orchestra Management.鈥� He is president of Flatirons Bank and lives in Lafayette, Colo.
