Last summer听Sarah Welton听(Law鈥�93) and her wife Courtney Mitchell were at the forefront of an important milestone in Nepal鈥檚 history. They were the first lesbian couple to be married in Nepal, although same-sex marriages are not legal there. They told听The Denver Post听they were happy to contribute to the campaign for gay rights in Nepal. The couple lives in Denver with their daughter.

Former Air Force captain, CU regent and judge advocate听Kyle Hybl听(Indiv鈥�93, Law鈥�96) was elected to the El Pomar Foundation鈥檚 Board of Trustees. The foundation contributes about $20 million annually to Colorado nonprofit organizations. He serves as a senior vice president and as general counsel. In addition, he serves as general counsel for The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, represents the 5th Congressional District as a regent, serves as chairman of the Police Foundation of Colorado Springs and is legal adviser to the National Homeland Defense Foundation in Colorado Springs.

Serving a three-year term on the Food and Drug Law Institute鈥檚 board of directors,听Frederick Ball* (PolSci鈥�93) also is a partner at the Chicago office of Duane Morris and vice chair of the White-Collar Criminal Defense division of the firm鈥檚 trial practice group. He is an adjunct professor of law at the DePaul University College of Law.

As president of Illegal Pete鈥檚,听Peter Turner听(Engl鈥�93) hopes to someday expand his burrito restaurant to other states. He told the听Huffington Post听that he is looking into cities that are similar to 麻豆影院 and Denver. He opened the first location in 麻豆影院 in 1995 before expanding to Denver and is looking into the possibility of opening a store in Fort Collins, Colo. He lives in Denver.

贰苍驳颈苍别别谤听Robert Perry听(MElEngr鈥�93) has worked for Quantum, Maxtor and Seagate in the disk drive industry doing static discharge control, statistical process control and accelerated reliability testing. He also worked for Emerson Network Power Connectivity Solutions as a quality engineer. Robert writes he is enjoying life with his wife and six children in Waseca, Minn.

Basic needs agency OUR Center announced听Randall Cherry听(MGeol鈥�93) as a member of its board of directors. He is Colorado assistant attorney general. Randall lives in Denver.

Gold Medal Waters awarded听Matthew Kelley听(MA鈥�93) with a Five Star Professional Award. Gold Medal Waters is a private wealth management firm that offers financial planning for individuals and retirement plan services for Colorado businesses. Matthew lives in 麻豆影院.

The town of Monument, Colo., hired听Patricia Parish听(Psych鈥�93) as a senior planner for the development services department. She continues to pursue her music career, which began in 1977. Her songs can be found at . Patricia brought back a rescue dog from Florida and writes the dog is adapting well to its new mountain home in Manitou Springs, Colo.

The Book of Mormon听musical written 产测听Matt Stone听(Art, Math鈥�93) and听Trey Parker听(A&S ex鈥�93), creators of the TV show听South Park, hit Denver by storm in August, selling out at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in less than five hours. The show won nine Tony awards, including best musical.

After working more than 12 years as an educator in 麻豆影院听Rex West听(MA鈥�93) joined 麻豆影院 Emotional Wellness as their extern psychotherapist. 麻豆影院 Emotional Wellness is an affordable family, individual and child clinic. Rex鈥檚 experience includes counseling clients toward cultivating integrated health.

CU couple听Tracey Kreps听(PolSci鈥�93) and听Jennifer Brundage听(Fren鈥�91) celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary in September. Tracey runs mutual funds for Vantage Point, and Jennifer has been working at the Smithsonian for about 14 years. They live in Washington, D.C.

Faegre Baker Daniels announced听Heather Carson Perkins听(Acct鈥�93, Law鈥� 98) as its Denver office leader. She is a partner in the firm鈥檚 litigation and advocacy group with a focus on trade secrets, antitrust, franchise and distribution and complex commercial matters. As office leader Heather will guide the firm鈥檚 community initiatives and serve as the firm鈥檚 representative in the Denver community.

The Accidental Bachelor听产测听Tim Holsten听(Mktg鈥�93), published in March, is a contemporary fiction novel that tells the story of Finn McCallister as he tries to save his best friend during a guys鈥� weekend in Las Vegas. The book is available at amazon.com. Tim lives in Encinitas, Calif.

Creators of听South Park听Matt Stone听(Art, Math鈥�93) and听Trey Parker听(A&S ex鈥�93) announced they are forming a production company named Important Studios. It is valued at $300 million. The announcement appeared in an article in January published 产测听The听New York Times听titled 鈥淔ortifying the Empire听South Park听Built.鈥� Matt and Trey have created 16 seasons of听South Park, made four feature films and created the Broadway hit听The Book of Mormon, which grosses almost $5 million per week.

After graduating from CU-麻豆影院听Richard Byyny听(MCDBio鈥�93) received his doctor of medicine at University of Southern California. He is an associate professor of emergency medicine and an emergency medicine physician at Denver Health. His father, Richard L. Byyny, served as CU-麻豆影院 chancellor from 1997-2005. He continues to work on the CU-麻豆影院 campus with the ATLAS Institute, Engineers for Developing Communities, Engineers Without Borders and the Conference on World Affairs.

Ernst & Young named听Angela Kimsey Carter*听(IntlAf鈥�93) advisory principal in the firm鈥檚 practice in San Francisco. Previously she worked as a strategic adviser to multinational corporations and entrepreneurial emerging companies on business process optimization, performance improvement and enterprise technology solutions. In her position Angela brings leadership and aims to drive continued regional growth. She lives in San Carlos, Calif.

The Ke Ali鈥檌 Pauahi Foundation selected听Keawe Liu听(Anth鈥�93) as executive director. Keawe is responsible for advancing the foundation鈥檚 mission of seeking and developing diverse sources of income to support the ever-increasing educational needs and goals of people of Hawaiian ancestry. He has 10 years of experience in philanthropy and fundraising for independent schools. He lives in Honolulu.

Award-winning journalist听Kris Wilson听(PhDGeog鈥�93) teaches at the University of Texas journalism school. He spent a decade in television news as a reporter, producer, news director and anchor. Kris鈥檚 work has been published in听The Journal of Geography,听Public Understanding of Science,听National Weather Digest听and elsewhere. Kris was a finalist for the College of Communication Teaching Excellence Award in 2012 and was nominated for the Regents Teaching Award in 2013. He lives in Austin, Texas.

Law firm Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney promoted听Arturo M. Aviles听(PolSci鈥�93) to counsel in its Austin, Texas, office. Aviles has years of experience as counselor defending clients in litigation. He also served as mediator in a number of matters in Travis and Williamson County, Texas, and is a frequent speaker on mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution issues. Arturo lives in Austin.

It wasn鈥檛 a real buffalo, but the 5-foot inflatable Ralphie given to听Suzette Hazen Fitzgerald听(EPOBio鈥�93), her husband,Jeff Fitzgerald听(Math鈥�93) and their kids, Claire, Nathan and Daniel, was still exciting for them.
