Willenbrock听(ChemEngr, Mktg鈥�83), a portfolio manager, vice president and financial adviser in its wealth management office in Tucson, was named to the Firm鈥檚 Pacesetter鈥檚 Club. The club is a global recognition program for financial advisors who, within their first five years, demonstrate the highest professional standards and first-class client service. He lives in Tucson.

Priorities in Percussion听by听Geary Larrick听(PhDMus鈥�84) was published in the winter 2011-12听National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors Journal. Geary is a retired music professor from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point and performed for 30 years in the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra. He resides in Stevens Point and performs the snare drum in the Grenadiers Band.

Award-winning producer and talent manager听Daniel Sladek听(A&S ex鈥�85) received an Emmy nomination in 2009 and a Producers Guild of America nomination as executive producer of the critically acclaimed film听Prayers for Bobby. Daniel participated in this year鈥檚 Conference on World Affairs. He lives in Los Angeles.

Longmont, Colo., resident听Thomas Stover听(Law鈥�85) was named to the Colorado Super Lawyers list of top attorneys in Colorado for 2012. Hitting the Innovation Jackpot听(iUniverse) is听Darren McKnight鈥檚 (PhDAero鈥�86) fourth book. It emphasizes the notion that the true value of innovation is when individuals, teams and the organization are involved together. 鈥淢any of the lessons that I discuss in this book I learned while working on my doctorate at CU,鈥� he writes.听Darren lives in Centreville, Va.

Fort Collins resident听Jeanette Meyer听(MBA鈥�87) of RE/MAX Alliance was granted the highest level of service achievement in the real estate industry, Quality Service Certified Platinum. The award is in recognition of earning 100 percent client service satisfaction in 2011 as measured by Leading Research Corporation. She also contributed $750 to local and national charities in 2011 through her client-directed donations program, 鈥淢ake a Difference.鈥�

No stranger to literary success,听Bruce Rogers听(MEngl鈥�87) won for the second time the Micro Award, a literary prize for fiction not exceeding 1,000 words. His entry听Divestiture听finished first out of 421 eligible stories. Bruce also has won Nebula, Bram Stoker, Pushcart and World Fantasy awards. He lives in Eugene, Ore. CU environmental studies professor听Roger Pielke Jr.听(Math鈥�90, MPolSci鈥�92, PhD鈥�94) received an honorary doctorate of philosophy from Link枚ping University, one of Sweden鈥檚 top universities. Link枚ping officials wrote that Roger鈥檚 鈥渙utstanding achievement in interdisciplinary climate research is a bold and refreshing voice in the climate debate.鈥� He lives in 麻豆影院 and is a fellow of the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Environmental Sciences.

CU-麻豆影院 Alumni Association board member听Katy Burley听(Psych鈥�92) won the prestigious Colorado Tourism Office Governor鈥檚 Award for Best Tourism Marketing Campaign for her work with the City of Golden鈥檚 鈥�2HourVacation.鈥� She moved from Denver to Washington, D.C., last spring to expand her career horizons.

The Bella Frida store, founded by听Laura Lambrecht听(Mus鈥�92), opened its doors on Main Street in Louisville, Colo., in March. Bella Frida strictly features Mexican clothing and folk art. Her inventory comes from a few regions in the country, including Oaxaca and Chiapas. She lives in Louisville with her family.

Director of institutional research for Northwest Indian College in Bellingham, Wash.,听Dorothy Aguilera-Black Bear听(Comm鈥�92, MEdu鈥�95, EdD鈥�03) has more than 20 years of research and evaluation experience with communities and schools, both domestic and international, and has explored the field of native wellness and leadership.

Engineer听Robert Perry听(MElEngr鈥�93) has worked for Quantum, Maxtor and Seagate in the disk drive industry doing static discharge control, statistical process control and accelerated reliability testing. He also worked for Emerson Network Power Connectivity Solutions as a quality engineer. Robert writes he is enjoying life with his wife and six children in Waseca, Minn.

On Feb. 1听Joe Beauprez听(Mktg鈥�94) and his wife听Erin MacGregor Beauprez听(Soc鈥�98, MPubAf鈥�11) welcomed their daughter Claire Caperton. Claire joins a family of three generations of CU alumni including her great-grandmotherAudrey Thomas Paul听(Art鈥�73), grandfather听Bob Beauprez听(PE鈥�70), grandmother听Claudia Beauprez听(Edu鈥�71) and aunt听Melanie Beauprez Fuller听(Hist, PolSci鈥�02). Former Washington, D.C., chapter leader听Geoff Davis*听(Econ鈥�94) moved with his family to Costa Rica. Geoff and his wife Susan, daughter Lyla and twins Alex and Macey took a trip up to La Paz Waterfall Park near the Poas Volcano National Park. They live in Santa Ana, Costa Rica.

Fast Company鈥檚 2012 list of 100 Most Creative People in Business named听Laura Mather听(ApMath鈥�94, MCompSci鈥�96, PhD鈥�98) as No. 16. Laura has worked with many businesses in web security and is founder and chief strategy officer of Silver Tail Systems, which uniquely maps all users鈥� behavior at a site such as StubHub to spot crooks. She has a son, Alex, and lives in Palo Alto, Calif.

Cantor Colburn elevated听Matthew 鈥淏rad鈥� Lawrence听(ElEngr鈥�95) to counsel in its Hartford, Conn., office. Matthew concentrates his practice on patent preparation and prosecution, patent landscaping and risk analysis and opinions. Some of the technology areas in which he works include electrical engineering, computer science, communications and automotive technology.

Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians elected听Julie Anderson听(EPOBio鈥�95) as president, representing more than 3,000 family physicians in the state. She attended the University of Minnesota Medical School and serves as vice president of her clinic, St. Cloud Medial Group. She lives in St. Cloud, Minn.
