Her parents and grandparents attended CU and her great-grandfather was Horace Morrison Hale, the second president of the university for whom Hale Science is named. Traveling for three weeks in Europe,聽Mark Kuta Jr.聽(MBA鈥87) advertised the university abroad by wearing a CU T-shirt every third or fourth day. Mark traveled to Germany, Austria and Italy along with his wife and their two kids. Mark writes he can vouch for the CU brand as around 10 people recognized the logo. Mark lives in Denver.

On May 27聽Lesley Gillis聽(MTeleCom 鈥87) and her husband celebrated their 40th anniversary with a trip to Russia. Lesley worked at Qwest and Whole Foods. Florida Python Removal Agent permittee聽Chris Harmon聽(PolSci鈥87) took part in the 2013 Python Challenge in the Florida Everglades in February. The point of the challenge was to remove the giant invasive pythons that have become entrenched in the environmentally sensitive Everglades. Chris writes that they didn鈥檛 find a single python after four full weekends of hiking through rugged, alligator-infested terrain, but they found dozens of other snakes, including some fairly rare species.

Property manager at W.W. Reynolds聽Jeff Wingert聽(EnvDes鈥87, MBA鈥91) has overseen and directed the company鈥檚 asset and property management, leasing and development operations since 1991. Prior, he worked for CU-麻豆影院鈥檚 facilities management department overseeing campus remodels and construction. He and his wife have been married for more than 16 years, have two children and live in Superior, Colo. Outside of work Jeff enjoys fishing, camping, skiing and coaching any sports his children play.

After having a private practice in hand surgery for nine years聽Timothy Allen聽(MCDBio鈥87, MD鈥91) became director of hand surgery for the Greenville Health System in Greenville, S.C. In addition, Timothy teaches residents and medical students. He lives in Piedmont, S.C., with his wife Tiffany and their son Benjamin. They are expecting a second boy in September.

Karin was an outstanding contributor to the Alumni Association, guiding marketing and overall strategy.
