Cheqroom
This means you don’t have access to reserve gear yet. Either you've logged into cheqroom for the 1st time, or the Kage hasn't updated your account based on your class enrollment.
Please email thekage@colorado.edu with a list of classes you currently enroll in.Ìý
The Kage is either closed or we're at desk capacity and likely attending to another student/teacher/class during that time. You will need to pick another time slot. For our operational hours, please refer to the home page of our website: /cinemastudies/kageÌý
You're running intou our 14-hour booking rule. Students are required to make a reservation at least 14-hours in advance from pick-up. Thsi helps the Kage plan our their day, and schedule any trainings and class demos without interfering with scheduled checkouts. You will need to make a reservation to pick up equipment the next day, or come to our walk-in hours.Ìý
Walk-in Hours are 2pm-4pm Tuesday and Fridays.Ìý
Comments have moved. You can find them in the "History" tab of your reservation/check out.Ìý
Clicking on an Item and navigating to the "Info" tab will show you every detail the Kage has noted about this item, including a list of everything in the kit, rental prices, and any reported damages past and present. For more information please reference the "Picking Up and Checking Over Your Equipment" in the Making a Reservation tab.Ìý
You will get an email notification about an "Order Summary" being generated on your reservation. Once you've recieved this notification, you can log into Cheqroom or view the Order Summary through your email to see your total price.Ìý
Check to see if you've received a confirmation email about your equipment reservation. It'll have a link that takes you directly to it. If you can't find your confirmation email, it's possible the reservation wasnt fully submitted. You may be able to find it in your Reservation Drafts.Ìý
If you're still unable to find your reservation, it's best to recreate it to make sure the equipment is still available to you. You're welcome to contact the Kage to aid in finding your reservation or re-reserving.Ìý
Contact the Kage ASAP and explain your circumstance.Ìý
Calling, emailing or leaving a comment in cheqroom PRIOR to your return time will vid late fees entirely regardless of circumstance.Ìý Once late fees are applied, they CANNOT be waived. If a student contact the Kage AFTER their scheduled return time, late fees WILL NOT be waived.Ìý
There are 3 types of additional fees your account could be penealized with: Late fees, Mishandling fees, damage fees and cleaning fees. For a breakdown on what each fee is and how to avoid them, refer to Payment & Pricing.Ìý
If you have unpaid fines, you will be blocked from Cheqroom and unable to reserve equipment, computers or studios until the issue is resolved.
If you have a financial burden, please email thekage@colorado.edu or call the Kage at 303-492-1533 and ask to speak directly with a manager about unpaid fees. We will work with you to set up a payment plan and remove the block on your account.
The type of gear available to you is based on the classes you are enrolled in, or require a certification. This is to ensure that equipment is shared with everyone. Refer to the to see what is available to you.

If you think something is wrong with your access, please email thekage@colorado.edu with a list of classes you are enrolled in.
If an item shows up as "unavailable" it means someone else has the item checked out. You're best Check out something else, reschedule your shoot, or outsource to a professional rental house. You can speak with Kage employees to talk about alternatives/resources. You may come to our Walk-in Hours on Tuesday or Friday to checkout what is available without making a reservation if needed.Ìý
Computer Labs/Studios
Yes! ATLAS 310 and ATLAS 342 are walk-in computer labs. No reservation is needed. Be mindful of classes that are scheduled in ATLAS 310. You may refer to the calendar in the How to Reserve a Studio/Lab tab.Ìý
The Production Lab is reservation only. If you need to be in there last minute, please email thekage@colorado.edu. It's possible that they will help you gain access last minute, unless it is the weekend. If this is the case, the soonest you'll be able to get into the lab will be Monday morning.Ìý
