In an extensive survey of the Â鶹ӰԺ's nearly 30,000 students, overwhelming majorities of respondents had an approving view of the campus's social climate -- the extent to which CU-Â鶹ӰԺ makes students feel welcome, valued and supported. Around four in five respondents reported feeling intellectually stimulated often or very often. A similar proportion said they felt welcome and accepted, and nearly nine in ten said they felt comfortable in their classes.

White House adviser on technology and innovation Phil Weiser named CU law dean

Weiser, senior adviser for technology and innovation to the National Economic Council at the White House, as dean of the University of Colorado Law School. CU-Â鶹ӰԺ Provost Russell L. Moore said Weiser will begin his duties as dean on July 1, 2011.

Â鶹ӰԺ Provost Russell Moore today announced that Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Julie Wong has accepted the post of regional associate vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. She will leave CU-Â鶹ӰԺ July 1 and Deb Coffin, associate vice chancellor for student affairs and dean of students, will serve as interim vice chancellor for student affairs.

CU-Â鶹ӰԺ to participate in NASA mission to land on an asteroid

A Â鶹ӰԺ team will be part of a mission selected yesterday by NASA to launch a spacecraft to an asteroid and pluck samples from its surface to better understand the formation of the solar system and perhaps even the first inklings of life.
