Michele Moses, associate dean for graduate studies in the School of Education, has been awarded the 2016 Hazel Barnes Prize, the most distinguished award a faculty member can receive from the university. She is also the first education faculty member to receive the award.

First-Year Seminar Program to offer freshmen a high-impact learning model

New '4+1' program adds up for future teachers

The School of Education and Department of Ethnic Studies have partnered to offer a new program that will allow future teachers to earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree in ethnic studies and a master鈥檚 degree in education in five years. The new 鈥4+1 Ethnic Studies and Education Concurrent Degree Program鈥 (BA/MA) will begin admitting students in spring 2017.

Public Achievement brings K-12 students to campus to make social change

More than 100 middle and high school students from 麻豆影院 County are joining 35 undergraduates Friday to tour campus and participate in workshops with community and campus organizations to address public issues impacting their communities. The students are part of the Public Achievement (PA) program, a youth-led civic engagement initiative promoting student voice and transformative change.
