Managers are encouraged to have a conversation with each of their employees to develop a career plan.Ìý This plan should focus on the employees’ needs for growth and development and the assistance the organization can provide so that the employee has the opportunity to grow his or her career.Ìý RES has created position descriptions for every position available in this department.ÌýÌýStaff is encouraged to review requirements for positions and include them in their performance planning.Ìý
***Please note - when an employee moves into another position they are eligible for merit increases earned in that fiscal year if it is (1) a lateral move or (2) your start date for the new position is between July 1st and January 31st. These are the only instances where you will be eligible for a salary increase during that year’s merit process. Start dates between February 1st and June 30th would not receive a salary increase during the current year’s merit process. ***
