Waitlists Overview
When a class is full,Ìýdepartments may offer a waitlist to allowÌýnon-enrolled students to get in line for the next available seat.ÌýWhen a student drops the class, the first eligible student on the waitlist is automatically enrolled in their place.
- When a student is on a waitlist, they are not considered enrolled in the class; however, they do appear on the class roster and have access to the online class materials until the waitlist cancellation date.
- Departments should allow the waitlist process to automatically enroll a student in the order the student was placed on the waitlist (automatic) or by the established departmental priorities determined in the waitlist logic (resequenced). The Office of the Registrar strongly discourages departments from overriding an individual student's waitlist order/priority unless there are extenuating circumstances.
