Award Acceptance
- The Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) staff with Signature Authority to sign awards on behalf of the University.
- Signature authority delegations at CUÌýÂ鶹ӰԺ are designed to protect academic freedoms and limit risk, including ability to publish and the University’sÌýintellectual property. Delegation originates with The Â鶹ӰԺ. Signature Authority is delegated to President Saliman and then to named individuals within the University.
- The Office of Contracts and Grants holds the delegation of signature authority for CU Â鶹ӰԺ research contracts and grants, and official sponsored project correspondence over the life of an award. This may include requests to the sponsor for:Ìý
- No-cost extensions
- Budget deviations
- Prior approval authorizations
- Other modifications to the terms of the agreement
In addition, OCG holds the delegation of signature authority for other research-related awards including:Ìý
- Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs)
- Data Transfer and Use Agreements (DTUAs)
- Non-disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs)
- Service Agreements
