Alumni, Industry Partners & Friends:听

Halfway through the fall semester, the听return to campus听continues to be remarkable. I am reenergized each day by the presence of students in the classroom. With various public health measures still in place, we are very fortunate to be in 麻豆影院, where we can teach and听engage with students听outside in the beautiful fall air.

I also want to commend the work everyone is doing to听celebrate diversity听补苍诲听improve equity within the department, including the growing听ME Partnership Programs. I look forward to seeing those efforts flourish in the coming years. The more mechanical engineers we have solving society鈥檚 challenges, the better.

The Return to Campus: A renewed energy in the Department of Mechanical Engineering

If there was a mantra for fall 2021 in the Paul M. Rady Department of Mechanical Engineering, everyone would be saying 鈥榠t鈥檚 good to be back.鈥� The 麻豆影院 has welcomed students back to campus, allowing ME faculty to bring back traditional hands-on labs and classes for the first time in nearly two years.

Provost announces new search committee for engineering dean

CU 麻豆影院 Provost Russell Moore has named the members of the advisory committee to conduct a national search for a new dean for the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS).

Department surpasses annual research funding record

Researchers in the Paul M. Rady Department of Mechanical Engineering received 118 research awards in 2020, totaling more than $19.5 million.

They are researchers, educators and entrepreneurs who are bringing the Department of Mechanical Engineering new industry and research opportunities.

CU celebrates Western partnership program's new engineering building

Education

CU Engineering leaders attended the grand opening of Western Colorado University's Paul M. Rady Building on Oct. 8, praising the facility as a valuable addition to the Western-CU 麻豆影院 Partnership Program.

Teaching Opportunities in Mechanical Engineering

The department is looking to a hire a full-time and multiple adjunct teaching positions for spring 2022. We have a specific interest in hiring adjuncts with industry experience in design and/or manufacturing who can bring their expertise in those areas to the classroom. Support the College of Engineering and Applied Science this Giving Tuesday 2021!听All gifts made now through Nov. 30 on will count toward Giving Tuesday 2021.听This year, you can support the Dean鈥檚 Fund for Excellence, the BOLD Center, and the Mechanical Engineering听Excellence Fund for your Giving Tuesday gift. The department fund supports the Mechanical Engineering Department.

The first $25,000 donated will be matched 1:1, thanks to the generosity of John Mollenkopf (MechEngr鈥�83), chair of the Engineering Advisory Council.听
