Event Net Proceeds and Tax Information:

100% of the net proceeds will benefit the Law Alumni Scholarship Fund (D-0038191). Funds are held by the CU Foundation pending distribution. Estimated Fair Market Value (EFMV) of the event is $117 per ticket. The virtual individual tickets are 100% gifts amounts benefiting the Law Alumni Scholarship Fund. Sponsorships and program recognitions may be a tax‐deductible contribution for less than the EFMV of goods and services received, as follows: Platinum: EFMV of $2,512; Gold: EFMV of $1256; and Silver: EFMV of $936. All gifts in support of the University of Colorado are processed and receipted by the University of Colorado Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable entity, Tax ID number: 84‐6049811. Please consult your tax advisor.

We welcome sponsorships from individuals and corporations. In light of IRS clarifications on charitable donation rules, the University of Colorado cannot accept sponsorships from donor advised funds, private foundations, or qualified charitable distribution from a donor’s IRA (QCD), unless the sponsor waives all benefits from the sponsorship, including attendance at the sponsored event.

Refunds:
Refunds can be made on or before February 27, 2025. Registrants who cancel by that date can elect a refund or donate the registration fee. No changes can be made after February 27, 2025.
