Anonymous questions in the Workshop Slack workspace

In most cases, when using the , your name will associated with any comments that you make.

Posting anonymously is simple, but takes a bit of extra effort.

  1. It does not matter what channel you start in
  2. In the text entry box at the bottom of the page, type /anon
    1. When / is typed, a menu will appear
    2. Continue typing anon and it will take you to the AnonimityBot menu
  3. At this point there are two ways to proceed, it does not matter which you choose
    1. The 鈥/anon鈥 method
      1. Press space after /anon and the menu will disappear, and you will have an 鈥/anon 鈥 in the text field
      2. Type your question after 鈥/anon 鈥
      3. Press Enter or click the 鈥淪end鈥 arrow
      4. A dialog box will appear that contains your message
      5. Click on the 鈥淪elect a channel or type it鈥檚 name鈥 drop down
      6. Select the 鈥#anonymous-question-box鈥 channel
      7. Click 鈥淐ontinue鈥 to post your question
    2. The 鈥淧ost anonymously with AnonimityBot鈥 method
      1. Click on the 鈥淧ost anonymously with AnonimityBot鈥 menu entry
      2. A dialog box will appear
      3. Type your message into the 鈥淢essage鈥 field
      4. Click on the 鈥淪elect a channel or type it鈥檚 name鈥 drop down
      5. Select the 鈥#anonymous-question-box鈥 channel
      6. Click 鈥淐ontinue鈥 to post your question
