The Master's in Curriculum & Instruction supports educators who are interested in developing greater understanding and expertise in the teaching and learning of twoÌýareas: Reading Instruction & Literacy LeadershipÌýand Math & Science.ÌýThe programs prepare students to understand the complexities of classroom contexts and teaching practice in relation to education goals of equity, democracy, and justice.
This program trackÌýsupports educators who are interested in developing greater understanding and expertise in the teaching and learning of mathematics and science. The program helps you develop your own content knowledge in mathematics and science, as well as greater understanding of how curriculum and instructional strategies can be tailored to fosterÌýstudents’ understandings of mathematics and science.Ìý
Program Requirements
Students must successfully complete 30 credit hours of approved coursework while maintaining at least a B (3.0) average in all
work attempted while enrolled.
Scholarships
Applicants to our Master’s programs will be considered automatically for a handful of scholarships at the time of admission. Applicants do not need to do anything to be considered apart from completing the application for admission by the posted application deadline. Automatic-consideration scholarships for MA students are only available for applicants to the Fall or Summer terms. All scholarships are one-time awards and will be applied across the Fall and Spring semesters.ÌýApplicants to the MA in Curriculum & Instruction: Math & ScienceÌýprogram will be automatically considered for theÌý.Ìý
Admissions Requirements
Admission to all our graduate programs is competitive and based on multiple criteria, including undergraduate academic record,Ìýletters of recommendation, personal statement, evidence of special accomplishments, and relevant past experience.
