We understand that a decision to go back to school isn't an easy one, which is why we strive to provide the tools needed for success. Courses in our online degree programs are available when you are — accessible anywhere you have a computer and an Internet connection. 

The Department of Computer Science offers several options for those looking to complete coursework online. Our online master's degree program allows you to earn admission simply by performing well in a three-course graduate-level "pathway specialization" (no bachelor's degree required). Our is intended to prepare you to work alongside a computer science professional or to pursue traditional graduate studies. Upon completion of this program, you receive a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science.

  • Your Background: Existing bachelor’s degree in a non-computer science field
  • Your Goals: Advance in your current career, make a career pivot and/or prepare for a master’s degree
  • Features: Traditional terms and a high level of faculty and advisor interaction
  • Curriculum: Foundational breadth courses and data analysis-focused electives
  • Degree: BS in Computer Science (BS-CS)
Master of Science in Computer Science Online
  • Your Background: No bachelor's degree required; some programming experience recommended
  • Your Goals: Advance or pivot in your career
  • Features: Flexible sessions, performance-based admissions, reduced tuition rate
  • Curriculum: Required breadth curriculum and a range of elective options across different topic areas
