On Jan. 30听Lori Strongin听(Comm, Engl鈥�01) released her debut young adult novel听Bite Me: Or the Obvious Title for a Novel 麻豆影院 a Vampire and a Werewolf听(Mundania Press). She also is a writing conference director and a 鈥渟lush reader鈥� who reads unsolicited queries and manuscripts for an agency in New York.

Since graduating听Randall Flint听(CompSci鈥�01) has worked at Lockheed Martin. He writes he got married in 2001 and lives happily with his wife and dog in Littleton, Colo.

Technology Review听magazine recognized听Piya Sorcar听(Bus, Econ, Jour鈥�01) as a TR35 Honoree for 2011. The TR35 recognizes the world鈥檚 top innovators under 35 in several emerging fields and chose Piya for her development of TeachAIDS, software that addresses problems associated with HIV prevention. She developed TeachAIDS as part of her graduate work at Stanford, and the materials are being used in more than 30 countries, including some where HIV-related education has not been previously allowed. Piya lives in Mountain View, Calif.

Ian Cohen (Jour鈥�02) is an executive producer of The Barber of Little Rock, a short documentary film recently nominated for an Academy Award. Cohen鈥檚 film is a provocative and emotional conversation starter about the racial wealth gap in America. It is available to stream for free on both YouTube and The New Yorker website.

Under听his leadership, Native听Roots has supported scientific research to better听understand the effects听of cannabis and cannabinoids. Additionally,听under Jonathan, the听company earned a spot听on the Civic 50, a list that听details the most community-minded companies听throughout Colorado.听

This spring,听惭颈肠丑补别濒听颁辞濒贸苍 (EthnSt鈥�02) joined听the Hawaiian impact听investment firm as director of听energy. In his role, he听oversees the energy听sector investing and听helps lead projects that听focus on clean energy听for Hawaii. 鈥淓mpowering听communities through听sustainable energy听solutions is not just听a job, it鈥檚 a passion,鈥澨齅ichael said on the firm鈥檚 website. He lives听in Honolulu.听

Luke Glisan听(Mgmt鈥�02) joined the听Denver office of the听Brownstein Hyatt Farber听Schreck law firm as听a shareholder in the听corporate and business听department. In this听position, Luke is responsible for issues relating to听employment law, such as听mergers and acquisitions,听hiring and promotions.听Prior to this position, he听worked in the field of law听in New York, Chicago听and Washington, D.C. in听positions ranging from听in-house employment听counsel and employee听relations teams to a law听firm partner.听

Harvard Law graduate Everett Mart铆nez (Psych鈥�02) was named general counsel to Denver International Airport (DEN). After working over a decade in the law firm setting, Everett joined the Denver City Attorney鈥檚 Office (CAO) in 2016 and became assistant general counsel in 2020. Throughout his tenure at the CAO, Everett, who specialized in complex financial transactions, demonstrated a commitment to the betterment of the department. After his promotion Everett said, 鈥淚n 1993 I toured DEN during its construction and was in awe of the facility. It鈥檚 been a dream come true to represent the airport, and I believe our best days are still to come.鈥� He lives in Arvada, Colorado.

Aaron Perry (Ger鈥�02;听MA鈥�02) published his听debut novel, .听The eco-thriller is Colorado-based and includes听scenes from the CU听麻豆影院 campus before听the protagonist makes听a fateful decision. Aaron听is also the co-founder,听executive director and听host of the 听community podcast.听Aaron lives in 麻豆影院.

Four-time Emmy Award听nominee Kevin Wendling听(Psych鈥�02) won his first听national sports Emmy听Award for best Outstanding Technical Team听Event. Kevin has been听an operations producer听for ESPN and ABC since听2003. In the last year, he听has worked on ESPN鈥檚听Monday Night Football,听College Football Saturdays and the College听Football National Championship, Monday Night听Football with Peyton and听Eli, the Women鈥檚 College听World Series, the MLB听All Star Game, NCAA听Conference Championship Basketball, the Little听League World Series and听the Rose Parade.

Khalilah听Louis Caines听(Psych鈥�02) is a professor听of social work at Saint听Leo University in Saint听Leo, Florida. Khalilah听served her community听as a social worker for听over a decade in many听positions, including child听welfare case manager and adoption care听manager. In 2016, she听transitioned to teaching听social work courses at听Saint Leo University,听where she鈥檚 been since.听Caines has a master鈥檚听degree in social work,听numerous certifications听within her field and is听currently working toward听a PhD in public affairs听from the University of听Central Florida.

Jefferson Dodge听(MJour鈥�02) was named听Colorado State University鈥檚 director of internal听communications in June.听Jeff, who worked for听CU鈥檚 former faculty and听staff newspaper Silver听& Gold Record for 12听years, has been at CSU听since 2014, serving听most recently as interim听director of the university鈥檚 News and Media听Relations team.

Executive producer of Colorado Public Radio鈥檚 Audio Innovations Studio, Brad Turner (Jour, Mus鈥�02), contributed to the podcast 鈥淢usic Blocks,鈥� which won the 鈥淏est Podcast for Kids鈥� Ambie award. 鈥淢usic Blocks,鈥� geared for middle and high schoolers, explores how songwriters and composers express emotion through sound.听

Freelance writer and editor Heather Mundt (MJour鈥�02) published her first book, Colorado Family Outdoor Adventure, in May. The book details more than 60 destination options, sorted geographically and with rankings of difficulty and age-appropriateness. Her two sons are featured throughout the book.
