Navigating the Professional School Application Process

Your professional school application includes the following components:Ìý

  1. Submitting your common application
  2. If needed, taking a standardized entrance exam
  3. If needed, taking situational judgment test(s)Ìý
  4. Submitting supplementalÌýapplications to each school
  5. Having letters of recommendation submitted on your behalf

AllÌýcomponents of your application file must be complete before your application can be considered for an interview offer.

If you are applying to schools with competitive admissions processes that use rolling admissions, be aware that early applicants gain a tremendous strategic advantage.ÌýThere tends to be less competition for interview slots early in the application season. By mid-season, when the applications are flooding in, it is harder to stand out in the crowd. Moreover, it is common for these schools to have already filled up all of their available interview slots well before their official application deadlines.
