Jeffrey G. York is the Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives, a Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, the Research Director for the听Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, and a Fellow of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute.听

Prior to his current role ProfessorYorkserved as the Chair of the Social Responsibility and Sustainability division, as the Chair of the Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics Division, and as an Associate Editor for theJournal of Business Venturing. ProfessorYorkhas taught classes in business planning, entrepreneurial thinking and environmental ventures at the undergraduate, MBA and PhD levels and received his PhD from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.听

ProfessorYork鈥檚 teaching and research are focused on environmental entrepreneurship, the simultaneous creation of ecological and economic goods. He is interested in how and why entrepreneurs create new products, services, and industries that reduce environmental degradation. 听

ProfessorYork鈥檚 research has appeared in journals such as the听Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Business Venturing, Organization Science,andStrategic Management Journal. He has served on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Organization Science, and听Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.
