Sustainable Business Club

The Sustainable Business Club is a student organization based out of Leeds for all at 麻豆影院 who believe that businesses are a key part of a better future. Our goal is to expose students to companies and people who are making a difference in the world and empower them to do the same. SBC does this by hosting sustainable business workshops, speakers and networking events.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to connect students with the resources and organizations that relate to CESR鈥檚 focus areas听in order to showcase how businesses are dealing with these issues and to create visibility for socially and environmentally conscious business. We aid students in professional development through programming related to networking and consulting skills. Throughout everything we do, we hope to build a strong community of those passionate about bettering local & global communities.听

To be a member of the Sustainable Business Club, you must meet the following membership requirements for two academic semesters:

Attend a mixture of formal events (2 points) and informal events (1 point) to reach 8 points

Join a Committee

Ralphie鈥檚 Closet Committee (RCC)

Ralphie鈥檚 Closet is a business clothing swap that provides access to free professional clothing to all CU students. Ralphie鈥檚 Closet was introduced with the goal of providing access to professional attire for all students while promoting sustainable fashion. Carbon Neutrality Committee (CNC)

The Carbon Neutrality Committee is a student group that is passionate about managing carbon emissions at CU. Meetings consist of workshops on sustainability skills including carbon accounting and solving energy problems at CU. This committee is perfect for anyone who is analytical or has an interest in creative problem-solving and wants to make a tangible impact in the sustainability sphere. He believes that business is key in making a change in the world both sustainability and ethically. In his free time, Evan enjoys socializing with friends, spending time outdoors ,and cooking. Tatum Neville is a junior in the Leeds School of Business studying Business Analytics with the Business of Sports Certificate. She joined CESR to find a group of like-minded individuals who also have a passion for sustainability. In her free time, Tatum loves to hike, ski, and try new restaurants. After graduation, Tatum hopes to work as a data analyst in the sports industry.

Renner Skidmore

Renner is a junior studying Information Management with a certificate in Social Responsibility & Ethics, an integration in Computer Science, and a minor in Philosophy. While attending school in 麻豆影院 he also pursues a professional skiing career that is the foundation of his passion for sustainable solutions to climate change through business. Renner鈥檚 other passions revolve around exploring the different cultures and mountains of the world.

Leda Sugnet

Director of Finance

CESR Fellows

Leda is a senior from Portland, Oregon studying Quantitative Finance, with the Global Business certificate. She enjoys learning about how companies can cultivate social change on a widespread scale, especially in underserved communities. After graduating Leda hopes to teach English in Sub-Saharan Africa, mentoring young students and empowering women, before moving on to Financial and ESG consulting.

Aaron Vadakkan

Aaron is a junior studying Finance and Ecology with a certificate in Social Responsibility & Ethics at CU 麻豆影院. He is passionate about using entrepreneurship and business skills to solve the climate crisis and is currently looking at cleantech venture capital as a way to further his career. Aaron enjoys cooking and eating food, spending time outside, and learning new things.
