WGST Student Professional Development Fund

The Department of Women and Gender Studies invites applications for funding from our Student Professional Development Fund. Awards of up to $250 will be available for undergraduate student projects that further the mission of the field of women and gender studies.

Eligibility: Undergraduate students at CU Â鶹ӰԺ with a major or minor in Women and Gender Studies, with preference given to majors.

Deadlines for submission:

  • March 29
  •  April 30

Students are encouraged to apply early as funds are limited and will only be available until they are exhausted.

Applicants should submit:

1) A short narrative (no longer than one double-spaced page) describing the project and the purpose of the funds and its connection to WGST as a field. Please include any relevant details (for eg. event dates and place, proof of submission, abstracts etc).

2) A budget for expenses. Please also clarify what other funds you have applied for and received to defray expenses.

Applications should be emailed to wgst@colorado.edu or brought to the WGST office in the Hazel Gates Woodruff Cottage during regular business hours.

The purpose of this fund is to support the professional development activities of WGST students, including

  • conference fees
  • research expenses
  • study abroad expenses

and other uses that further the mission of the field of women and gender studies.
