How to Apply to the Program
Who We Serve
We serve undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- neither parent graduated from a four-year college;
- qualify as low-income under federal income guidelines;
- have a documented disability on file with CU's Office of Disability Services.
In addition to the above criteria, we also serve students who:
- have foster youth, unaccompanied, and/or independent status;
- are homeless;
- Military veterans.
How to Apply to the Program
Students must apply and meet eligibility requirements to participate. All applications will also be reviewed for eligibility for the . Applications are reviewed year-round on a space available basis.

Income Verification
Parent’s  most recent Federal Income Tax Return. For example, if you are applying for participation beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year, please submit the 2022 Federal Income Tax Return. If you are an independent student, send a copy of your 2022 Federal Income Tax return.
OR
2022-2023 FAFSA. Please sign and date the FAFSA before sending.

Summer Programming
We accept a limited number of students each year to our Summer Ready cohort to provide a more personalized experience. Those who are not accepted into Summer Ready will be considered for our Fall Gateway program, a 2 -day academic intensive program the week prior to the start of fall semester.
