Consumer demand is making aluminum cans more relevant than ever, according to a report from the 麻豆影院鈥檚 Leeds School of Business. More than 92 billion aluminum beverage cans were sold in the U.S. in 2011 reflecting a decline in annual sales -- particularly among standard 12-ounce cans -- since the industry鈥檚 peak five years prior.

The tradition of honoring the 麻豆影院鈥檚 best began in 1930 and continues today as the CU-麻豆影院 Alumni Association announces 10 prominent alumni, faculty, staff and students whose outstanding service, energy and professional achievements demonstrate what it means to be a part of the 麻豆影院 family. They will be recognized at a free public ceremony at the Hotel 麻豆影院ado on Thursday, Nov. 1.

Oct. 17 Town Hall meeting on the Concealed Carry Act

Last spring the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that the CU-麻豆影院 campus is now covered by the Concealed Carry Act (CCA). Upon return to campus this fall, faculty, staff, and students had questions regarding our collective obligations to comply with the CCA. To address these questions, we held an open town hall meeting on Sept. 4. There continue to be questions on this important issue from our students, faculty, and staff. In response to several requests that we hold another town hall meeting, we will do so.

Equestrian team prepares for new season of competition

You鈥檙e not allowed to practice together beforehand and the equipment you use is new to you. This may sound like an unreasonable challenge, but it鈥檚 designed to create a fair competition. 麻豆影院 Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano will address faculty, staff, students and other members of the campus community at the annual State of the Campus address at CU-麻豆影院鈥檚 Glenn Miller Ballroom on Tuesday, Oct. 16. Refreshments will be served at 7:30 a.m. and the speech begins promptly at 8 a.m. The address will be DiStefano鈥檚 fourth as chancellor. He is entering his 39th year as a CU-麻豆影院 faculty member, dean and senior administrator.

State of the Campus Address to focus on updating Flagship 2030 amid new realities

CU-麻豆影院 wins $1.4 million NSF award for climate change, water sustainability study

The University of Colorado at 麻豆影院 has been awarded $1.4 million for a new study on how changes in land use, forest management and climate may affect trans-basin water diversions in Colorado and other semi-arid regions in the western United States.
