Tibetan Association of Colorado, CU-麻豆影院 announce October campus visit by His Holiness the Dalai Lama

The Tibetan Association of Colorado (TAC) and the 麻豆影院 will co-host a campus visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Oct. 20 and 21, 2015, both groups announced today. A schedule of events at CU-麻豆影院 is still being finalized. The schedule and ticket information will be announced in the months ahead.

SCORE program reduces energy bills and ecological footprint

The Student and Community Outreach on Renter Efficiency program, or SCORE , is a free service for students living off-campus who want to save energy, water and money. The program's main goal is to help student renters save money on their energy bills, while reducing their ecological footprint.

Campus visits set for CMCI dean finalists

Provost Russell L. Moore today announced the five finalists selected for the position of dean of the College of Media, Communication and Information. The finalists for the position are: Lori Bergen, dean of the J. William and Mary Diederich College of Communication, Marquette University in Milwaukee; Thomas Finholt, senior associate dean for academic affairs and professor in the School of Information, University of Michigan; Eric Freedman, dean, James L. Knight School of Communication, Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina; Caroline Haythornthwaite, director and professor, School of Library, Archival and Information Studies, The iSchool at the University of British Columbia; and Jonathan Potter, dean of School of Social, Political and Geographical Sciences, Loughborough University, Leicestershire, United Kingdom.

Ward named AVC for Research, Contracts and Grants Director

麻豆影院 Vice Chancellor for Research Stein Sture has named Denitta D. Ward assistant vice chancellor for research and director of the Office of Contracts and Grants, effective Jan. 19. Ward served as deputy director of OCG for the past two years and has been with OCG since 2011.

The University of Colorado鈥檚 perennially popular rite of spring is returning for its sixty-seventh year. The Annual Conference on World Affairs will be held April 6-10, 2015, on the CU-麻豆影院 campus. Last year鈥檚 CWA attendance was 77,700 at 200 sessions over five days. This year's keynote address, titled 鈥淚n a Single Garment of Destiny鈥, will be delivered by Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Leonard Pitts Jr. in Macky Auditorium on Monday, April 6, at 11:30 a.m.
