Provost, faculty assembly wrap up academic business
At the Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº Faculty Assembly’s final meeting, Martin Bickman and Chancellor Philip DiStefano were honored for 50 years’ faculty service; Andrea Feldman and Rolf Norgaard were honored in retirement. The assembly selected new officers and passed a resolution creating a resources committee.
Festival dazzled through culture and community
The Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers at CU Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº recently organized the Asian American and Pacific Islanders: All New Year Festival. More than 450 people attended the cultural celebration, which featured important cultural aspects through art, music, dance, language and cuisine.
Jessica Rush Leeker receives Fulbright to study African descendants’ achievements in STEM
Faculty Director and Professor Jessica Rush Leeker has been awarded a prestigious fellowship to research the impact of oral storytelling on African descendants in STEM, focusing on how historical and cultural narratives can enhance the sense of identity, belonging and confidence among engineering students.
Keith Julien, world-renowned CU applied mathematician, passes away at 58
Keith Julien was a longtime leader in his department and at the university. He made significant contributions to his discipline and also helped engineer the reorganization of the College of Arts and Sciences.

The science of sled hockey: Team USA partners with CU Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº physiologists
Members of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team are working with CU researchers on a project that could ultimately improve performance and reduce injury for hockey players with lower-limb amputations or impairments.
