On the morning of Thursday, May 9, CU Â鶹ӰԺ will honor the Class of 2024 during the commencement ceremony at Folsom Field. Multiple recognition ceremonies will follow across campus from Thursday, May 9, through Saturday, May 11.

It will be several days filled with excitement and celebration. However, CU Â鶹ӰԺ and the city of Â鶹ӰԺ roadways will be heavily impacted. To reduce traffic and parking impacts, please consider one of the following options:

More info

  • All campus parking lots will be impacted by commencement guest parking.Ìý
  • Parking Services will issue permit-holder notifications via email to those in permitted lots that will be closed or restricted for commencement day activities.
  • Purchase a discounted one-day permit for $5! Parking Services is increasing the capacity of one-day permits during finals—available toÌýstudents, faculty, and staff.ÌýÌýto purchase a permit.

Consider transportation options

Do you typically drive to campus? Plan to carpool with other employees who live near you, or consider alternative transportation, such as walking and biking or riding the bus to campus. If there is no bus route near your home, your EcoPass allows you to drive to a Park-n-Ride, where you can ride to/from campus by bus (review and for help).

Work remotely

Employees who are not participating in or volunteeringÌýfor commencement activities and whose work is conducive to telecommuting should speak with their supervisors to make arrangements.

Use accrued leave

Employees who want to use leave on these days should plan this option with their supervisors.

Arrive before 7 a.m.

If you arrive after this time, please know that graduates, families and guests will be parked in campus parking lots, and there may not be parking spaces available for permit holders.

Use the Courtesy Buff Bus

Park on East Campus and ride the Buff Bus commencement shuttle to Main Campus. Shuttles will run to and from Main Campus 7 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Thank you for all you do on behalf of CU Â鶹ӰԺ

Please join your campus colleagues to honor our graduates, their families, friends, our university and the various colleges and schools during this special time.
