This weekend brings CU on Friday, live comedy, hiking with the hammock club, a rock climbing party, first-ever Hardware Hackathon, badminton tournament, Sweeney & Maxie concert and more.

11 a.m.听UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom
Join the UMC and Veteran and Military Affairs for the annual Veterans Day Ceremony, featuring keynote speaker Vice Admiral Herman A. Shelanski, United States Navy (ret). The ceremony begins at 11 a.m., with a reception at noon.

CU on Friday

CU 麻豆影院 faculty, staff and students are invited to CU on Friday, a fun UMC tradition! This month's event will have free pizza, root beer, bowling, billiards, virtual reality and the opportunity to get crafty and make your own Buff spirit gear.听

听5:30 p.m.听UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom
The Indian Students Association welcomes the CU community to celebrate Diwali, a Hindu festival of the lights. Entry is free for students and employees with a Buff OneCard. There will be Bollywood performances, a live DJ听and free Indian food for everyone to enjoy.

听6:30鈥8:30 p.m.鈥嬏Old Main Theater
Join comedian听Sam Tallent听as he shows off听his quick wit and clever improvisations during听a free performance. Lizzy Wolfson and Katie Bowman also will be sharing the stage.

听7 p.m.听CU Events Center
The CU volleyball team is taking on Arizona State University. Entry is free with your Buff OneCard.

Fri-Yay Nights: Rock On

听8 p.m.鈥嬏Rec Center
Head to the Rec Center climbing gym for free rock climbing, rock music, rock painting and rock candy!

Saturday, Nov. 10

7 a.m.听Idea Forge
Be a part of the first-ever Hardware Hackathon hosted by the Idea Forge. Participation is free for CU students听and plenty of food, snacks听and other resources like mentors will be provided to keep everyone running during听the 19-hour hackathon. Four-person teams will be听asked to design something of their choice.

听10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 听Rec Center,听lower courts
Join the CU 麻豆影院 Chinese Student Association for a badminton tournament open to all CU 麻豆影院 students. There will be prizes such as new shoes and rackets for the winning teams. 听ahead of time.

听1:30 p.m.听Folsom Field
Get out and support your Buffs in the next-to-last home game of the season against Washington State. Kickoff is set for听1:30 p.m.

听10 p.m.听Club 156
Program Council听presents Sweeney & Maxie听with performances by E_Kayy,听Cozy Dripp and Craver & Family. 听and $8 the day of the show. Doors open at 9:30 p.m.


Sunday, Nov. 11

12:30 p.m.Kittredge Field parking lot
Start your Sunday with a hike up听the Royal Arch Trail. Though this event is free, please听RSVP and bring your听College Pass (bus pass)听as well as warm clothing, water听and snacks. Meet听at the Kittredge Field parking lot at 12:30 p.m.

Join CU students Grant Baker, Joe Castagneri听and Matthew Maierhofer for听听about exciting STEM research conducted by CU students.
