Friday, Oct. 12

Come meet听students from across the globe and join in some engaging conversation. All CU students are welcome, and light refreshments and听snacks will be served. This event is sponsored by The Herd and will be held at the Alferd Packer Grill听from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Join Al Jazeera editor Colin Dayan as she shares her expertise of the new industry. She has spent over 10 years reporting on a wide variety of topics including prison rights, the legalities of torture and canine profiling. This talk will be held in Norlin M549 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Calling all entrepreneurial Buffs! The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative teamed up with Techstars in order to help students hoping to get their space-related startup ideas off the ground. Experts and mentors will be available to hear idea pitches听and will be available to assist with problems and questions. Over the weekend, teams will be challenged to build a prototype of their idea. Tickets start at $15. Event starts at 6 p.m. in the Idea Forge.

Support the women's听volleyball team by attending their game against the University of Oregon. Wear pink for the chance to win free food. Bring your Buff OneCard for free student admission. The game begins at 7 p.m. in the CU Events Center.

Join Program Council for a screening of A Quiet Place.听鈥淚n this听modern horror thriller, a family of four must navigate their lives in silence after mysterious creatures that hunt by sound threaten their survival. If they hear you, they hunt you.鈥 Free entry and popcorn, film starts at 8 p.m. in听Chem 140.


Saturday, Oct. 13

Need more things to do?

Celebrating space pioneers and discoveries made by NASA, the 麻豆影院 Philharmonic performs Jessie Montgomery鈥檚 Starburst and continues with Stephenson鈥檚 Celestial Suite, alongside the CU women鈥檚 chorus. Student tickets are $5, and the performance begins at 7:30 p.m. and runs until 9:30 p.m. in Macky.

Support the No. 16 CU women's soccer team by showing up to their game wearing all pink for the cause "Kicking out Cancer."听The game will be held on Prentup Field at 1 p.m.

Support the women鈥檚 club lacrosse听team at their home game on the Kittredge North Field. The game starts at 11 a.m.

Show your Buff pride and watch the CU Buffs vs. USC Trojans at this free viewing party at 8 p.m. in The Connection! Free food and drinks will be provided;听bring your Buff OneCard.

Stranger Things-themed light show

Get in the Halloween spirit by attending the Laser Stranger Things show at Fiske Planetarium. Experience the 鈥80s under the dome and enjoy some music from the hit series. The show starts at 9 p.m.


Sunday, Oct. 14

This workshop will teach you how to catch the eye of future employers and give yourself an edge in competitive fields. Mark Pleiss will lead the workshop in CASE W313 from听2 to 3 p.m.
