Coursework such a SPAN 3150 Linguistic Analysis, SPAN 3200 Spanish Culture, SPAN 3220 Latin American Culture: Spanish America and Brazil and SPAN 4220 Special Topics in Spanish and/or Spanish American Literature is offered in Spanish, it examines in detail the politics and cultural dynamics of distinct linguistic communities that share a country or region. These courses are of particular benefit to students in the social sciences.
