Welcome to the Course Phys 4510 "Optics"

Phys 4510 is an undergraduate course on fundamentals of optics. We will focus mostly on wave optics. The course is geared toward the students interested in conducting research in this area, as well as planning to apply to graduate schools. For students who do not intend to do research, this course will provide insights into how our world works on a microscopic scale. The main prerequisite for the course is Phys. 3320 or equivalent. The textbook that we will use is Hecht, Optics (recommended to have for reading and other assignments).
