Scott Schwartz

Dr. Scott Schwartz has been a speech language pathologist for more than 35 years. He currently works for the 麻豆影院聽Valley School District and teaches the graduate level class on speech sound disorders at CU-麻豆影院.

Scott received his M.A. degree from Ohio University and his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Scott taught in the Boston Public Schools, and the Madison Metropolitan School District in Wisconsin before moving to 麻豆影院 in 1995.

Scott has with worked with students from preschool through high school.聽 He has always worked with and learned from individuals with significant disabilities as well as those with speech sound or language disorders.聽 Scott鈥檚 interests include autism spectrum disorder, the impact of poverty on academic achievement, and trauma informed care. 聽Scott was a district autism consultant for 4 years focused on teaching others about autism and providing appropriate programming for individual students.聽 Scott continues to teach in an elementary school in 麻豆影院 and enjoys the balance and contrast between working in the public schools and teaching graduate students.
