- Micromeritics Gemini VI Surface Area Analyzer
Performs measurement of specific surface area, adsorption isotherm, and desorption isotherm of mesoporous and microporous solids.
- NETZSCH Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer
Simultaneous application of Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) or Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) to one and the same sample in one instrument. ÌýTGA can be used to characterize: mass change, temperature stability, oxidation/reduction behavior, decomposition, etc. ÌýDSC/DTA can be used to characterize: reaction enthalpy, melting/crystallization behavior, solid-solid transitions, glass transitions, oxidative stability, etc. Optional mass spectrometry data for characterization of evolved gasses. - Quantachrome Autosorb-1Ìý
Can be used for extensive characterization of materials such as catalysts, carbons, ceramics, fillers, polymers etc., by generating adsorption and desorption data via physisorption, chemisorption, thermal conductivity detector analysis (TPD/TPO/TPR), and/or vapor sorption. - CEM Discover SP-D 80 Microwave DigesterÌý
Microwave digester for preparation of solids for composition and/or trace metal analysis. ÌýMicrowave energy is applied to mixture of sample and acids to accelerate chemical reactions associated with digestion. ÌýUsed mainly as a sample preparation technique before ICP elemental analysis. - NETZSCH 402C Horizontal Push-rod Dilatometer
Horizontal push-rod dilatometer. Measures linear sample displacement during programmed heating/cooling. Operating temperature: -180C to 2400C. Heated by graphite heating elements. Can be operated using Al2O3 or graphite sample holders. Can be operated under controlled flow of desired gas or stagnant air. Used to assess densification kinetics during pressureless sintering or obtain the thermal expansion coefficient of a solid sample.Ìý
