Emily Doherty, a student researcher for聽Strand 2, is spending her summer working in Germany through the NSF International Research Exchange for Students (IRES) Award on Collaborative Research with the program: . She is working under Dr. Susanne Boll of the University of Oldenburg, exploring facial expression tracking in virtual reality environments to increase social presence. Emily is聽also be attending the聽(CHIWORK鈥�23) that is being hosted at the University of Oldenburg the second week in June.聽
