Request a Degree Verification
Personal Information
CU Â鶹ӰԺ will not verify personal information (e.g., date of birth, address, Social Security number, citizenship).
What It Is
A degree verification is not a diploma; it lists your degree on Office of the Registrar letterhead and bears the registrar's seal and signature.
How to Get One
New Graduates (Graduated Within the Past Month)
Congratulations on your graduation! If you need proof of your degree before degrees post to transcripts (see the graduation calendar for specific dates), you may either:
- Use (you may be prompted to log in) to request an enrollment verification that includes your expected semester of graduation.
- Contact your college or school to request a letter of completion.
After degrees post to transcripts, you may order an official transcript that includes your degree and conferral date.
Past Graduates (Graduated More Than One Month Ago)
If you need a degree verification rather than an official transcript:
- Employers and other third parties can request degree verification through the National Student Clearinghouse.
- You can request a degree verification yourself by emailing your name, student ID number, date of birth, and mailing or email address to registrar@colorado.edu. Degree verification requests are processed in the order in which they are received and take two to three business days to process.
