Program Timeline and Format

Application timeline
Applications to the program are accepted anytime on a rolling basis.ÌýOnce your application is received, you will be contacted by the program directors as well as byÌýpotential CU faculty hosts to discuss possible research projects before final pairings are decided.

ProgramÌýperiod, schedule, and format
The calendar period of your research experience is flexible and may begin anytime throughout the year. ÌýIt should involve a total of 180 hours of research andÌýrun for a total of 6 to 15 weeks. ÌýYour weekly schedule can involve on-campus research, remote work, or a hybrid mixture of both. Your exact calendar and weekly schedule of activities will be determined in discussion with your CU faculty host,Ìýto allow for teaching or other committments that you may have as well as the needs of the research project.

Optional participation in an annual research symposium
Participants will be invited to present a poster at a research symposiumÌýheld annually in the CU College of Engineering &ÌýApplied Science each August. It will provide a venue to present your research findings andÌýplans for curricular development based on your research experience as well as to interact with other program participants,ÌýCU faculty members, and campus leadership.
